The Pokémon Company is a Japanese company created to control the merchandising and licensing of Pokémon franchise products. It is equally composed by Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures. According to its schedule, its activities began in 1998 with the opening of the Pokémon Center in Tokyo.

It was previously known as Pokémon, Ltd, established in 2000. Since then, it has become "The Pokémon Company". Since 2001, almost all products are copyrighted under the name © Pokémon with acknowledgments to © Nintendo, © Game Freak, and © Creatures, Inc.
