Zur Beantwortung dieser Frage wird die Geschichte und Entstehung des Hochdeutschen beleuchtet, eine Umfrage ausgewertet und werden die Begriffe Dialekt, Akzent und Färbung unterschieden. Die Menschheit verwendet Sprache geografisch und sozial unterschiedlich, die Sprache ändert sich im Laufe der Zeit, und auch je nach Anlass und Medium (Papier, Schallwellen, Email, Chat, etc.) verwenden wir Sprache unterschiedlich. Darüber hinaus benutzt derselbe Mensch verschiedene Sprachmittel in der Kommunikation mit unterschiedlichen Menschen und je nach Alter und emotionalem Zusammenhang.
