Steven L. Hilty
Steven L. Hilty (born February 23, 1945) is an American ornithologist and author with a PhD in zoology from the University of Arizona. He has worked as a bird tour guide in America since the 1980s and is a research associate at the University of Kansas, where he currently resides.
Among his most notable works are "A Guide to the Birds of Colombia" (1986), "Birds of Tropical America: A Watcher's Introduction to Behavior, Breeding, and Diversity" (1994), and "Birds of Venezuela" (2002). These publications, focused on ornithology, are key references for the study and observation of birds in Latin America.
