Luis F. Aguilar
Luis F. Aguilar Villanueva (Campeche, 1938) is a distinguished Mexican academic, PhD in Philosophy with a specialization in political philosophy. He completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Tübingen, Germany, and earned his doctorate at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. He has been a professor at institutions such as UNAM, El Colegio de México, and the Metropolitan Autonomous University-Xochimilco. Currently, he heads the Institute of Public Policy and Government at the University of Guadalajara and is a member of the UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration.
His work focuses on public administration and public policies. Among his notable books are The Study of Public Policies (2013) and Governance and Public Management (2013), both belonging to the genre of public administration. Additionally, he has coordinated collective works such as Political Philosophy: Reason and Power (1987), which addresses topics of political philosophy.
