Throughout his career, Fernández Bravo has combined teaching with research and educational management. He has been a teacher at educational levels from Preschool to Secondary, and he is currently a university professor in Mathematics Didactics and Development of Logical and Mathematical Thinking at the Don Bosco Higher Education Center and the Complutense University of Madrid.
He is the author of more than 130 works on education and the learning of mathematics, highlighting titles such as The resolution of mathematical problems. Creativity and reasoning in the minds of children, for which he received the Creative Methodology Award in Italy in 2009.
Additionally, he has directed European projects for research and educational innovation and has collaborated with international organizations such as the OAS, the OEI, the IDB, and UNESCO. His pedagogical approach focuses on "listening to the learner," promoting an education that awakens the desire to know and that values the sense and meaning of learning.
