Jinny Beyer
Jinny Beyer (Denver, July 27, 1941) is a renowned quilt designer, author, and American educator. She began her career in India in 1972, where she made her first quilt using local fabrics. Her work "Ray of Light" won the "Great American Quilt" contest by Good Housekeeping in 1978, boosting her international career. In 1984, she was inducted into the Quilting Hall of Fame. Beyer is a pioneer in designing specific fabrics for quilting, collaborating with RJR Fabrics since 1985 and creating more than 2,000 designs.

Among her most notable books are Patchwork Patterns (1979), The Quilter’s Album of Blocks and Borders (1980), Color Confidence for Quilters (1992), Designing Tessellations (1999), and Quiltmaking by Hand (2004). These works, focused on the design and technique of quilting, have been fundamental for quilters around the world. Beyer has also taught seminars and workshops internationally, and her website offers free patterns and educational resources for the quilting community.
