H. P. Blavatzky
Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (1831–1891), born in Ekaterinoslav (now Dnipro, Ukraine), was a Russian writer and occultist, co-founder of the Theosophical Society in 1875. Her work laid the foundations of the modern theosophical movement, promoting a synthesis between science, religion, and philosophy. Blavatsky claimed to have accessed ancient esoteric texts during her travels through Asia, which deeply influenced her thinking.

Among her most notable works are Isis Unveiled (1877), The Secret Doctrine (1888), and The Stanzas of Dzyan, the latter being a fundamental part of The Secret Doctrine. These writings address themes of cosmogenesis and anthropogenesis from an esoteric perspective. Although her claims have been the subject of controversy, her influence on contemporary spirituality and Western esotericism is undeniable.
