Gonzalo Guillén
(Bogotá, 1952). He has been a journalist since 1975. He started at El Tiempo, in Bogotá. He was a co-founder of Colprensa; researcher for Noticiero TV Hoy; co-founder and editor of the Bogotá newspaper La Prensa; general editor of El Universo, in Ecuador, and Andean correspondent for The Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald. He has been a correspondent for the magazine Ercilla, from Chile, and a contributor and columnist for Cromos and Semana, from Colombia. He currently directs La Nueva Prensa. He has received multiple awards, including two Rey de España, CPB, Simón Bolívar, Gran Premio Franco-Andino de Documental and finalist in the National Human Rights Award in 2021.
