Ana Isabel García LLorente, better known as Gata Cattana, was born in Córdoba in 1991. She died on March 2, 2017
A multifaceted artist, she combined her musical works within the rap genre with writing poems, actively participating in cultural circles and Slam Poetry recitals
She released her first musical work, Los siete contra Tebas, in 2013. Then came Anclas, a compilation of unpublished works, and posthumously, Banzai
In 2016, she published the first edition of her only poetry book, La escala de Mohs, from which this new expanded version you hold in your hands has been edited, with two unpublished poems and handwritten lyrics
In her artistic and also personal facet, Gata has been and is a reference voice for several generations of young people for her revolutionary, society-critical, and feminist texts and expressions
