Diego Bernardini
Diego Bernardini is a physician and kinesiologist from the University of Buenos Aires, holds a master's degree in Gerontology and a PhD in Medicine from the University of Salamanca, Spain. He trained in family medicine, geriatrics, public health, rehabilitation, and medical education in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. From the beginning, he felt the need to focus on the care and attention of people, which is why he is a family doctor. He was part of the Ministry of Health of the Nation (Argentina), the World Health Organization (Geneva), the Pan American Health Organization, and the World Bank (Washington DC), the European Academy of Yuste Foundation (Spain) and the International Longevity Center (Rio de Janeiro). He received scholarships from the World Health Organization (2003), the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (2003), and Banco Santander (2005). He has work experience in the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Southeast Asia, where he was a visiting professor at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Additionally, he is a guest professor at numerous universities in Latin America and Spain. In 2013, he was named distinguished visitor of the National University of Tucumán for his academic merits, and in 2015 he published his first book, De vuelta. Diálogos con personas que vivieron mucho (y lo cuentan bien) (Aguilar). He has been a TEDx speaker with his talk "Welcome to the new longevity" and is considered a regional reference in the care and attention of adults and older people. He is part of the team of El Estado en tu radio and produces and hosts La segunda mitad (a podcast series about new longevity), both on Radio Nacional. He lived in Spain, Finland, Washington DC, and currently resides between Mexico and Argentina, where he is a full professor of Medicine at the School of Medicine of the National University of Mar del Plata.
