Cristina Rivera Garza. Author. Translator. Critic. Her most recent books are Autobiography of Cotton (Literatura Random House, 2020) and Grieving. Dispatches from a Wounded Country (The Feminist Press, 2020, translated by Sarah Booker, finalist for the NBCC Award). In 2020, she received the MacArthur Fellowship. Distinguished professor and founder of the PhD in Creative Writing in Spanish at the University of Houston.
