Amancat Nahuelpan
Amancay Nahuelpan is a Chilean-Canadian comic book artist and writer, known for his dynamic style and narrative approach to contemporary comics. He was born in Vancouver, Canada, and grew up in Temuco, Chile, where he developed a passion for drawing from an early age. Although he initially studied Interior Design at the Catholic University of Temuco, his true calling was always comics.
His professional career began in Chile with the independent publisher Caleuche Comics, where he published his first story in 2006. Later, he moved to Vancouver to pursue his dream of becoming a comic book artist. His first work published in the United States was in Occupy Comics, and from there, he collaborated with publishers such as Boom! Studios (Robocop), IDW Publishing (Boy-1), and Black Mask Studios, where he co-created Young Terrorists and Calexit, in addition to writing, drawing, coloring, and lettering his own series Clandestino.
In the realm of DC Comics, Nahuelpan has worked on titles such as Nightwing, Batman, Wonder Woman, Justice League Dark, Gotham City Monsters, and Crush & Lobo. His style is characterized by a mix of realism and caricature, with a focus on the body and facial expressions of the characters.
He currently resides in southern Chile, where he continues his work as a comic book creator, merging cultural and personal influences in his artistic work.
