Synopsis "Writing Memoirs"

Welcome to the world of writing memoirs. It all starts with the desire to share an event in your life. Do you wonder if you can use someone's name? Can you write by giving yourself another name? This is a handbook taken from Alberta Sequeira's three-hour workshops on teaching memoir writing. Her other handbooks are "Bring Your Manuscript to Publication" and "How to Self-Publish Your Own Book with Create Space. Ms. Sequeira is a four-time award memoir author and a motivational speaker on alcohol abuse and her spiritual renewal. Her published paperbacks are... A Spiritual Renewal: A Journey to Medjugorje, Someone Stop This Merry-Go-Round: An Alcoholic Family in Crisis and its sequel, Please, God, Not Two: This Killer Called Alcoholism. She also published a Narrative Non-Fiction titled What is and isn't Working for the Alcoholic and Addict: In Their Own Words. It is written by thirty-four alcoholic and drug users telling their life stories and what they believe does and does not work in recovery programs. She is a co-founder to Authors Without Borders (www.awb6.com) and a co-author with the three other published authors with their book Loose Ends. Ms. Sequeira is also a director, producer and host to the New Bedford 95 Cable TV Show interviewing authors, artists, editors, publishers and anyone from the publishing world. She is in the process of writing her first fictional The Rusty Years. She wants readers to see a little side to her. As for her personal life, she lives in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts with her husband, Al. They have five grown children and ten grandchildren. Her daughter, Lori Cahill, died in 2006 from alcohol abuse. Lori's life story is in Please, God, Not Two after Alberta lost her first husband, Richard Lopes, from North Dighton, Massachusetts from his addiction. His story is in Someone Stop This Merry-Go-Round. Alberta loves to visit the halfway homes, court-ordered programs, rehabilitation centers and talk to the public on any issue with addiction and writing. Teaching workshops to help writers begin their first steps in getting their books into publication is a joy. She knows only to well, the hardships doing hers on her own in the beginning. Hopefully, all her handbooks based on learning the writing, publishing, promoting and marketing will help all who purchase her books. And..... she is thrilled with reviews given on Amazon about any of her books!
