Obwohl die Auflagen seiner Bücher an die Verbreitung der Bibel heranreichen, ist Karl Marx heute aus den Buchhandlungen fast ganz verschwunden. Eine Marx-Auswahl-Auswahl fehlt daher und könnte doch nützlich sein, vielleicht nicht zuletzt für eine junge Generation in Ost und West, die mit keiner Marx-Lektüre und keiner Marx-Diskussion mehr aufgewachsen ist, sich aber endlich einmal selber mit dem authentischen Marxschen Denken auseinandersetzen will, das angeblich beinahe die Weltgeschichte ruiniert hätte. Es hat schon viele Editionen Marxscher Texte gegeben, wobei meistens ein Verständnis stille Voraussetzung war, das Marx mit dem "Marxismus" der sozialistischen Arbeiter- und Staatsparteien indentifizierte. Heute ist dieser Sozialismus ebenso mausetot wie die Arbeiterbewegung. Die Formeln des "Standpunkts der Arbeit" und des "Klassenkampfs" sind altertümlich geworden; sie lösen keine positiven oder negativen Leidenschaften mehr aus und reizen nur noch zum Gähnen. Lass Dich überraschen von der Radikalität und Logik des "anderen" Marx, der bis an die Innere Schranke des Kapitalismus dachte und sogar darüber hinaus.
