Uday Chopra (born 5 January 1973) is a Bollywood actor, producer, and assistant director. The son of Yash Chopra and brother of Aditya Chopra, Chopra has been assistant director on a number of his father''s and brother''s movies under the Yash Raj Films banner. He made his debut in the Yash Raj Films movie Mohabbatein. The film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, and three other debutantes (Shamita Shetty, Preeti Jhangiani and Kim Sharma). There were two other male actors in Jimmy Shergill and Jugal Hansraj, whose careers were relaunched with Mohabbatein. Chopra has mostly done films under his father''s production house.
