TWISTED TEXT II. What God Actually Meant - William V. Robinson III

TWISTED TEXT II: Commonly Misunderstood Bible Verses, And What God Actually Meant is a bold, clarifying guide for believers who want to handle Scripture faithfully in a culture overflowing with misquoted, misapplied, and misunderstood Bible verses. Dr. William V. Robinson III exposes how familiar passages are often stripped from their context, softened to fit modern preferences, or weaponized in ways God never intended - and then restores each verse to its original meaning with precision, depth, and pastoral clarity.

Drawing from passages across Psalms, Proverbs, the Gospels, Paul's letters, and Revelation, this book dismantles popular distortions and replaces them with truth that strengthens discernment, deepens obedience, and anchors believers in the God who actually spoke. As the introduction warns, "When verses are taken out of context, God is subtly remade to fit human preferences." And as Robinson shows, the consequences are spiritual confusion, misplaced expectations, and weakened faith.

Across seven sections - covering God's character, salvation, obedience, wisdom, suffering, spiritual warfare, and community - each chapter walks readers through a commonly misinterpreted verse, explains how the distortion took root, and reveals the verse's true meaning through context, theology, and Scripture interpreting Scripture.

This is not a book of opinions. It is a call back to reverence, accuracy, and submission to the Word of God.

If you want to read Scripture with clarity... If you want to avoid deception... If you want to know what God actually meant...

This book will change the way you read the Bible forever.
