Synopsis "Troubadour of the Troubled: The Meditations, Poems, and Songs of Tam Duffill"

This expanded version of Troubadour of the Troubled contains additional memories from people who knew Tam, and more writings and photographs that were found after the original book was published. This book features the writings of a very special man named Tamson Wailes Duffill, better known as Tam. A renaissance man, an enigma, a philosopher, a talented musician, a teacher, a husband, a father, a seeker of spiritual truths, and a tortured soul, Tam Duffill spent his life searching for answers. While he didn't share his innermost feelings with many people, he kept written journals for over forty-five years. Discovered in his belongings after Tam left us on January 2, 2014, these journals reveal a complex, conflicted man who only wanted to love and be loved. He longed for stability, a family, friendship, and a life of living in harmony with the natural world and all in it. Those who knew him loved this gentle, compassionate man who was always soft- spoken and kind. Rarely seen without a smile on his face and a twinkle in his astonishing blue eyes, Tam had a sense of humor that delighted all. He was a fount of information about his fellow performers, the old cars he loved, music, history, and a variety of other subjects. He noticed the smallest details about the smallest of creatures and treated all as brothers and sisters. Tam's wife of 20 years, Marianne Duffill Cox, spent over a year compiling the writings and pictures contained in this book. Working from Tam's handwritten notes, family history gleaned from his closest relatives, and assorted memories from many people, she has tried to create a lasting tribute to Tam for his family and friends.
