Nelle Harper Lee fue una escritora estadounidense, nacida como Nelle Harper Lee en Alabama, cuya obra dejó una huella profunda en la literatura del siglo XX pese a ser breve en cantidad. Creció en el sur de Estados Unidos, un entorno que marcó decisivamente su mirada moral y narrativa. (Alabama, USA, 1926 - 2016). American writer. In 1931, a racist conflict in the nearby town of Scottsboro shocked American society. Lee, an indirect witness to the events, was inspired by this incident to write her first and only novel known until 2015, To Kill a Mockingbird, now a literary classic. A personal friend of Truman Capote, Lee decided to retire from the public eye when she gained fame. She won the Pulitzer Prize in 1961. In 2015, the novel Go Set a Watchman was rediscovered, initially rejected by her publishers and one of its subplots is what led to To Kill a Mockingbird.

La verdad es que no estaba acostumbrada a tener ediciones tan antiguas de los libros. Este en particular es de tapa muy blanda, con hojas de roneo. Se entiende que es un libro antiguo, y muy bueno por lo demás, pero esta edición en particular no me gustó, tiene un aspecto de mala calidad considerando el precio que pagué. Se agradece de todas formas que sea posible conseguir estos libros tan icónicos en inglés
