Synopsis "Theologische Exegese: Bibelhermeneutische Studien in Systematischer Absicht (in German)"

English summary: Systematic theology and biblical exegesis today often go separate ways. One of the reasons is the rehabilitation of historicism. In parts of contemporary systematic theology, reflections on the philosophy of religion play a greater role than the texts of the Bible. The studies in this volume conceive of biblical exegesis as a theological task that unites historical and systematic issues, as well as systematic theology as consequent exegesis. However polyphonic, tense, and sometimes contradictory the voices heard in the biblical writings may sound, they transcend themselves to a point of convergence named by the word "God." Systematic interpretation of Scripture tries to follow this directional arrow of the biblical texts.
