Abel's assistance in Green's case intersects with a pervious case of Abel's. Years ago a court commissioner had decided that a client of his falsely accusing her husband of abusing their daughter. Faced with losing contact with her daughter she agreed to split custody. Recent evidence comes to light suggesting that the child had been abused fro many years. When the daughter is accused of poisoning her father it is up to John Abel to defend her. The intertwining of these allegations makes for a taunt, suspenseful legal thriller.
