Sarah Vaughan, born as Sarah Hall in 1972 in Exeter, United Kingdom, is a British writer and journalist. She studied English Literature at Brasenose College, University of Oxford, and worked for eleven years at The Guardian as a reporter and political correspondent. In 2014, she adopted the pseudonym Sarah Vaughan to publish her first novel, The Art of Baking Blind. Since then, she has excelled in the psychological thriller genre, exploring themes such as power, privilege, and social pressures on women.

Among her most recognized works are Anatomy of a Scandal (2018), adapted by Netflix in 2022; Little Disasters (2020), which addresses the complexity of motherhood; and Reputation (2022), focused on harassment of women in public life. Her incisive narrative style and focus on contemporary social issues have solidified her international reputation in suspense literature.
