Sisters of the Infinite Sacrifice
Paul L Knight (Author) · Independently published · Paperback
Sisters of the Infinite Sacrifice is a sprawling science-fiction epic that blends post-apocalyptic fantasy, cosmic horror, mythology, and spiritual drama across more than a million years of human history. The story centers on a secret order of immortal women known as the "Sisters of the Infinite Sacrifice," whose endless duty is to maintain a mysterious energy barrier called the Finis Field that imprisons an ancient Enemy beneath the Earth.
The Origin of the WatchIn humanity's distant past, a technologically advanced Empire fought a catastrophic war against a terrifying invading force known only as the Enemy. Scientist Dr. Antonius Julian discovered that the Enemy could be contained using the Finis Field - but the field required an unimaginable power source: the life force of two hundred thousand young women.
The Empire built the Imperium, a fortress surrounding the "Breach" where the Enemy entered the world. Fifty women at a time remain awake as the "Watch," while the remaining Sisters sleep in cryogenic stasis beneath the complex. These women become immortal, psychically altered, and forever bound to the Imperium. They cannot leave without agony, cannot truly die, and slowly evolve powers connected to the field itself.
The first Abbatissa, Aelia, inherits the burden after her father activates the field and sacrifices himself. She and the First Watch realize that humanity's survival now depends entirely on their endless vigil.
