There are many theories pertaining to the existence of the physical and non-physical realms through science, philosophy, and religion, and inevitably this leads to the rift in how the interaction of entities in the universe is understood. Approaches differ based on the fundamentals that make up the sympathetic alliance that defines where we come from, why we are here and where we may end. It is not an overstatement to say that 'wars have been waged' because of this one subject matter; more questions have been asked and fewer answers have been established. Over time, science, philosophy, and religion have found the rift between them becoming narrower even though entitlement to defend a standpoint has made it difficult to admit we are possibly at odds about a topic that should unite us.
