Als Irland- und Schottland-Fan hat Wolfgang Pein schon reichlich Kurzgeschichten über seine Schafe "Bunglass" und "McGregor" geschrieben ( ca. 65 ). Jetzt ist sein erster richtiger "Roman" fertig. Seine Schafe reisen darin über Schottland, Irland nach Deutschland, wo sie einige Zeit bei einer deutschen Gastfamilie im schönen Münsterland leben, die deutsche Sprache verstehend und aufrecht gehend. Alles könnte so schön sein, würde McGregor nicht von der NSA (National-Sheep-Attack), der Vereinigung der britischen Metzger verfolgt, die ihn auf ihrer Fahndungsliste haben. Bunglass und die menschlichen Freunde unternehmen alles, um McGregor zu beschützen. Schlie lich will der eines Tages seine Familie wiedersehen, die in die oberen schottischen Highlands geflüchtet ist. Ob und wie dies gelingt und wie Bunglass "Vater" wird, sind Highlights in diesem Roman.
