Vertreibung und Enteignung von Volksgruppen haben bis heute nicht nur in Europa tiefe Wunden geschlagen. In einem Teil der Arbeit wird abstrakt die Völkerrechtswidrigkeit von Vertreibung und der mit ihr oft einhergehenden entschädigungslosen Enteignung untersucht. Einen Schwerpunkt bildet die Frage nach einer Völkerrechtssubjektivität von Volksgruppen. In einem weiteren Teil befasst sich die Arbeit mit den besonderen Problemen und der Rechtslage bei kollektiver Enteignung anhand zweier europäischer Fälle und eines au ereuropäischen Falles. Geprüft wird, welche Rechtssubjekte Ansprüche deswegen vor nationalen und internationalen Gerichten geltend machen können.
