Dieses wundervolle Buch - ursprünglich aus dem Jahre 1835 - beschreibt auf gut 400 Seiten alles, was ein Techniker oder Mechaniker jener Zeit wissen musste. Damals war die Spezialisierung natürlich weit weniger fortgeschritten als heute, so dass es im Grunde alle Disziplinen erfasste. Auch waren seinerzeit die akademischen Berufe in der Technik weit weniger verbreitet als heute, so dass Bernoulli ein theoretischer wie praktischer Rundumschlag gelungen ist, der auch heute noch seinesgleichen sucht.
