Synopsis "Pflanzenökophysiologie Für Die Agronomie (in German)"

Die Photosynthese bildet die Grundlage der globalen Primärproduktivität und ist ein Oxidations-Reduktionsprozess, bei dem Wasser oxidiert und Kohlendioxid reduziert wird, um Kohlenhydrate zu bilden. In den Chloroplasten wird die Lichtenergie durch Pigment-Protein-Komplexe eingefangen, die in Photosystemen (PSII und PSI) organisiert sind. Durch die Absorption von Photonen werden Elektronen in angeregte Zustände versetzt, wodurch eine Kette des elektronischen Transports in der Thylakoidmembran in Gang gesetzt wird. Die Photolyse von Wasser, die im Sauerstoffentwicklungskomplex von PSII stattfindet, liefert Elektronen, die das System wieder zusammensetzen und Protonen in das Lumen freisetzen.
