Der Einsatz von Festkondensatoren (FCs) in Nebenschlussschaltung ist eine der Methoden zur Verbesserung der Netzqualität von Verteilernetzen. In diesem Beitrag wird eineneuartige Optimierungstechnik, der so genannte Ameisenlöwen-Optimierer (ALO), verwendet, um dieoptimale Kapazität der erzeugten VARs und die Standorte der FCszubestimmen.Die Zielfunktionen werden so gewählt, dass die Gesamtverluste der Verteilung minimiert werdenund zur Verbesserung des Spannungsprofils. Das ALO wird für mittlere und gro eradiale Verteilungssysteme (RDS) wie IEEE 33-Bus und 69-Bus Testsystemedurchgeführt.Dienumerischen Ergebnisse zeigen, dass der Ameisenlöwen-Optimierer (ALO) optimale Lösungenbesser als viele andere heuristische Algorithmenbietet.
