Synopsis "Obras Completas de san Agustin x Sermones 2º 51 116 (in Spanish)"

Saint Augustine of Hippo (354–430 AD) was a philosopher, theologian, and father of the Latin Church, whose work had a profound influence on Christian and Western thought. Converted to Christianity after an intense spiritual search, he became the bishop of Hippo and wrote extensively on theology, ethics, and the human condition. His texts combine philosophical depth with an intense inner life, and are key in the development of medieval and modern Christian thought.

Among his most important works are Confessions (397–400), The City of God (413–426), On the Trinity (400–416), Soliloquies (386), and Christian Doctrine (397). His output, mostly in the philosophical-theological genre, addresses the relationship between faith and reason, the soul, time, and the good. His writings continue to be widely studied, although there are no contemporary awards associated with his work.
