Ernährungsmangel bei afrikanischem Mahagoni (Khaya ivorensis) ist eine Doktorarbeit, die an der Fakultät für Agronomie der Bundesuniversität von Goiás verteidigt wurde und zum Ziel hat, einen Beitrag zu den Fortschritten im Bereich der Forstwirtschaft zu leisten und Unternehmern, die in mit Edelhölzern bepflanzte Wälder investieren oder investieren möchten, technische Unterstützung zu bieten. Da es sich um eine wirtschaftlich sehr interessante Art handelt, wird das afrikanische Mahagoni (Khaya ivorensis) von brasilianischen Forstwirten häufig verwendet, vor allem weil es sehr ähnliche Eigenschaften wie das brasilianische Mahagoni (Swietenia macrophylla) aufweist, das aufgrund seiner Qualität und Schönheit weltweit das wirtschaftlich wertvollste Holz ist. Die Autoren danken den Eigentümern der Baumschule Viveiro Mudas Nobres, Canrobert Tormin und João Augusto da Silva, für ihre finanziellen Investitionen in die wissenschaftliche Forschung und für ihren wirksamen Beitrag zur Entwicklung der brasilianischen Forstwirtschaft.
