Synopsis "Modulation des Immunsystems bei neonataler Malaria (in German)"

Diese Studie wurde durchgeführt, um die Modulation des Immunsystems bei Neugeborenen zu untersuchen, deren Mütter während der Schwangerschaft an Malaria erkrankt waren. Aus dem Bundesstaat Khartoum wurden periphere Blutproben von Müttern und Nabelschnurblut von Neugeborenen entnommen, Zellen kultiviert und mit MSP-1 Malaria-Antigenen und IL-10 sowie Gesamt-IgG gegen MSP1-19 stimuliert und auch Serum aus Nabelschnurblut auf Serum-Transferrin-Rezeptoren untersucht. Das Ergebnis zeigte, dass die Gesamtantikörper MSP119 von Multigravidae signifikant höher waren als die von Primigravidae und Grandmultigravidae mit unterschiedlichem Grad der Exposition. Eine geringere Exposition gegenüber einer P.falciparum-Infektion hatte keine signifikante Auswirkung auf die Antikörperspiegel, da die Primigravidae höhere Werte an MSP119 reaktiven Antikörpern aufwiesen. Die Funktion der Zielantigene zum Schutz vor neonataler Malaria muss noch anhand der Sequenzen von MSP1 ermittelt werden; eines dieser Antigene ist P. falciparum.
