Das "Merkblatt Nr. 25b/31 (Anhang 2 zur H.Dv. 1a Seite 25b lfd. Nr. 31) Merkblätter für die Infanterie Nr. 8 - Hinweise für den winterbeweglichen Einsatz der Infanterie" ist ein Nachdruck der originalen militärischen Vorschrift aus dem Jahr 1943. Es enthält eine Zusammenstellung von Erfahrungen, die von Infanteriedivisionen über organisatorische und führungstechnische Fragen des winterbeweglichen Einsatzes an der Ostfront gesammelt wurden. Der Infanterie sollte es als Hilfsmittel für die winterbewegliche Kampfführung dienen. In dieser Neuauflage aus dem Jahr 2021 werden Organisation, Bekleidung, Schlittengerät, Waffen und Munition für den Wintereinsatz beschrieben. Im Anhang sind Beispiele einer Normalausrüstung einer Ski-Gruppe und für die Ausstattung von winterbeweglichen Verbänden aufgelistet.
