Synopsis "Man Ray: Einflüsse der Bildenden Kunst auf die Fotografie von man ray (in German)"

Man Ray galt gleichsam als Maler, Fotograf, Schriftsteller, Objektkünstler, Verleger und Filmemacher. Seinen Bekanntheitsgrad erlangte er aber vor allem durch seine Fotografie. Er interessierte sich in seinen Werken auch zunehmend für das Unbewusste, Scheinbare und Mystische. Man Ray zeigt nur das, was er selbst sehen will und was er an Vorstellungen beim Betrachter hervorrufen möchte. Seine Bilder entziehen sich der Realität, wobei nur die ideale Form oder das ideale Modell übrig bleibt. Seine Arbeitsweise gilt als einmalig und kann nicht mit der traditionellen Fotografie verglichen werden. Anhand von Beispielen der Arbeiten von Marcel Duchamp, Francis Picabia und Max Ernst wird aufgezeigt und analysiert, welchen Einfluss die bildende Kunst und speziell der Dadaismus und der Surrealismus auf die Fotografie von Man Ray ausübte.
