Music lovers are curious and impertinent, they want to know everything about the genre they love and they do not rest until they find what they are looking for. The chronicles of the Caribbean have been made through songs, and Leonardo Padura knows this well. He has gotten the feel of a genre that has been discussed since his own birth, in the early 70s. Through conversation with its protagonists, the author gives us a beautiful portrait of the trajectories of fascinating characters such as Mario Bauzá, Cachao López, Papo Lucca, Juan Luis Guerra, Rubén Blades, Willie Colón, Johnny Pacheco and Juan Formell. Music lovers are curious and impertinent, they want to know everything about the genre they love and they do not rest until they find what they are looking for.

Excelente libro.
