To offer extended practice of the short readings introduced in each lesson, Lekti Kreyòl Liv Etidyan has three Activity Books that can be used by beginning, intermediate, and advanced Haitian Creole students. This is the second activity book (Liv Aktivite 2) and a quick glance at the table of content reveals activities such as: Kòd Sekrè (Secret Code), Mo Mele (Scrambled Words), Mo Kwaze (Crossword Puzzles), Paj Revizyon (Review Page), Fraz Gaye (Scrambled Sentences) -this activity is more current in the third activity book- Mo Kle Enpòtan (Important Key Word), Sèvi ak Mo Nouvo (Use New Words), Sinonim (Synonyms) so that the high beginning or intermediate students can practice without trouble but rather comfortably while moving from the first to the twenty fifth topic. While the activities are often similar in format, the focus changes from one activity to another. The main areas of focus are Vèb (Verbs), Vèb ak ekspresyon (Verbs and expressions) and Vokabilè (Vocabulary). These activities are meant to be an extension of the activities in the student's book. All the words encountered in the reading piece of a lesson reappear throughout the activities until complete mastery of both meaning and use of the words. This time students do more complex tasks with the words such as complete a crossword puzzle by inserting the correct words both in the sentences and the boxes of the puzzle, finding synonyms of some words, using the words in their own sentences and scrambled sentences activities, where students need to place words of scrambled sentences in the correct order. The teacher can follow the order of the activities in the activity book or design their own order but there are a lot of activities to allow each student or group of students to work on a different activity while practicing the same words.
