Samantha Shannon (United Kingdom, 1991) is a British author born in London, renowned for her fantasy and science fiction novels. Her most famous work is The Bone Season series, started in 2013 and planned as a seven-book saga. Additionally, she wrote the acclaimed novel The Priory of the Orange Tree and its prequel A Day of Fallen Night, both within the Roots of Chaos universe. Her books have been translated into more than twenty languages and have appeared on the New York Times and Sunday Times bestseller lists. Shannon studied English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford and resides in London.
