Written in a fast-paced novella style, this page-turning journey through a disturbed mind will grip you from first page to last.This book was begun in 2005, and nearly completed when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. Oddly, the hurricane portion of the book had just been completed. The coincidence left the author with a profound sense of providence. Then, a few days after the book's completion in 2006, the Virginia Tech shootings occurred. This further compounded the author's angst, having focused on Columbine as part of the book.Lastly, the use of Egypt as an example of an Islamic country in 2006 was a longshot. At that time, the country was still a peaceful tourist destination, far from the time of the Arab Spring, and farthest from the mind of anyone who might think of violence in the middle east. Here, the events of the book seem eerily foretelling of what has unfolded in recent years.
