En la investigación del Jesús histórico son muchos los estudios que se centran en un análisis meticuloso y detallado de la estratigrafía de los evangelios. Pero no son tantos los que intentan llevar a cabo un minucioso y detallado análisis de la estratigrafía de los yacimientos arqueológicos galileos. Con esta obra se pretende contribuir a llenar ese vacío, analizando algunas de las implicaciones que ha planteado la arqueología de Galilea para la investigación del Jesús histórico.No se trata, en todo caso, de recopilar un conjunto de hallazgos arqueológicos con los que Jesús pudo estar en contacto ni ilustrar los lugares que visitó según los evangelios. Tampoco es un catálogo, un manual o un diccionario con descripciones o dibujos de objetos arqueológicos. Los estudios que aquí se recogen se esfuerzan por situar en el centro y en el primer plano los datos arqueológicos, sistematizando el material disponible, para a continuación interpretar la cultura de Galilea en el siglo I y destacar sus implicaciones para el conocimiento de Jesús y los evangelios.ENGLISH:"Archaeology and the Galilean Jesus"This study presents and systematizes the available archaeological data on the topic. In light of those finds the author interprets the culture of first-century Galilee and stresses some key elements in order to get a better grasp of Jesus and the Gospels.
