Mark McKenna is a veteran American comic book inker and author with a prolific career spanning over three decades. Born in New York, McKenna has worked for major comic book publishers such as Marvel and DC Comics, participating in more than 600 titles. His versatile style and ability to complement the work of various artists have made him a respected figure within the industry.

One of his most notable contributions was his work as an inker on the Animal Man series, especially during the period written by Peter Milligan, compiled in the DC Omnibus. During this time, McKenna helped shape the visual tone of the character's dark and experimental phase, adding details and textures that enhanced the psychological and surreal approach of the narrative.

In addition to his work as an inker, McKenna has also created original content, including his children's series Banana Tail, and has been involved in independent comic projects. With a career dedicated to sequential art, McKenna continues to be an active presence at conventions and collaborations within the comic world, leaving a lasting mark on both classic superheroes and more alternative works.
