Synopsis "Historia de una Mentira (in Spanish)"

Dick Naseby se encuentra de viaje por Francia y en París conoce al pintor Peter Van Tromp. Entablan amistad y iempo después regresa a Inglaterra. Allí conoce a la joven Esther, hija de Van Tromp, de quien se enamora. Esther pide a Dick que le ahble de su padre y éste le habla de su generosidad, de su bondad y de su talento qu, sin mentir, no describe el auténtico caracter del padre. Pasa un tiempo y Peter Van Tromp regresa Inglaterra para establecerse en casa e su hija. Ahí comienza el malentendido. Esther tiene a su padre por un gran pintor cuando la realidad es bien distinta. La relación entre Dick y Esther se verá seriamente perjudicada como consecuncia de la pérdida de la inocencia de la chica.

Robert Louis Stevenson (Edinburgh, Scotland, 1850 - Samoa, 1894) is a Scottish writer, one of the great classics of 19th century literature. Master of adventure and fantasy novels, his work achieved popular and enduring success. Among his most famous titles are Treasure Island (1883), The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1886), and Black Arrow (1888), all of which have been translated into multiple languages and adapted numerous times for film, theater, and television. Due to his fragile health, Stevenson was a tireless traveler, also becoming a prominent travel essayist. He spent his last years in the Samoa Islands, where he died.
