Synopsis "Historia Crítica Literatura Chilena ii (in Spanish)"

Es un proyecto académico y editorial que busca, en cinco volúmenes, reunir un corpus coherente de crítica contemporánea sobre el desarrollo de la literatura nacional. El presente Volumen II está dedicado a la producción literaria que en nuestro país se genera en torno a los procesos de Independencia y formación del Estado nacional o, dicho de una manera más exacta, consagrado a aquella producción que aparece en el período que abarca desde la Primera Junta Nacional de Gobierno hasta las décadas del setenta y ochenta del siglo XIX (la modernización de Santiago que lleva a cabo el intendente Benjamín Vicuña Mackenna entre 1872 y 1875, la Guerra del Pacífico de 1879 a 1883, el fin de la mal llamada Pacificación de la Araucanía en 1883, y el paso por Chile de Rubén Darío entre 1886 y 1889, son límites histórico-culturales admisibles para un deslinde cronológico competente de este período).

Grínor Rojo holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Iowa, United States (1971). His areas of expertise include Literature and culture in Latin America, Critical theory, and Latin American Theater. He is the author of over 150 publications, including articles, book chapters, and books. Among them, the most recent are: Critical History of Chilean Literature. Vol. I. The Colonial Era. Santiago de Chile. LOM Editores, 2017, co-edited with Carol Arcos; The Novels of the Dictatorship and Post-Dictatorship in Chile. Vol. I. Santiago de Chile. He has supervised numerous master's and doctoral theses, both at Cecla and the Department of Literature at the University of Chile. He is currently the lead researcher of the Fondecyt project "Latin American Culture of the Second Modernity: 1920-1973". Among the courses he has taught recently are: Theory of the Novel, Theory of Poetry, and Latin American Culture of the Second Modernity: 1920-1973.
