This is a true story about the healing of a little girl after experiencing seizures for the first sixteen years of her life. Throughout the book, she describes why she often felt like a shadow. Not everything in life is easy, but the struggles make you who you are. At the age of fifteen, she told her mom she wanted brain surgery because she was exhausted from the constant worry and agony that seizures had brought into her life.
