Dabei beschränkt sich der Untersuchungsgegenstand auf fiktive Fernsehformate, die u.a. oder hauptsächlich auf Unterhaltung abzielen, wie z.B. Spielfilme oder Krimiserien. Zur Klärung bedarf es zunächst einer Definition der Kernbegriffe Ästhetik und Gewalt, einer Untersuchung über die Wirkung von Gewaltdarstellungen sowie danach der Einordnung in einen medienethischen Kontext.
