Synopsis "Farewell my fantasy"

Farewell my fantasy is more than a love story. It draws a parallel between the breakdown of a relationship and the erosion of a broader social promise, the welfare state we believed became the welfake state. The novel explores how private disappointments often mirror larger social transformations. As the promise of middle-class security begins to fade so too do many of the illusions we build arround love and success. This is not a simply novel about two people who fail to fulfill their dreams. It is about what pappens when an entire generation discovers that the future it was taught to expect may have been, all along, a fantasy.
