It argues that much more needs to be done to assist teachers in changing their classroom practice.

The book reports on extensive original research into the question of how teachers might be assisted to innovate at the classroom level. It outlines in detail numerous techniques on how teachers should be encouraged to handle change, putting forward numerous suggestions for practice.
