El poema de Parménides del siglo V a. Peter Kingsley (United Kingdom, 1953) is a British philosopher, mystic, and scholar known for his work in reviving the spiritual roots of Western philosophy. Educated at the universities of Lancaster, Cambridge, and London, he has been an honorary professor at institutions in Canada and the United States. His work focuses on the Presocratics Parmenides and Empedocles, whom he presents as spiritual figures rather than mere rational thinkers. Kingsley combines academic research with a mystical perspective, seeking to revive forgotten traditions of Western wisdom.

Among his most notable books are Ancient Philosophy, Mystery, and Magic (1995), In the Dark Places of Wisdom (1999), Reality (2003), Catafalque: Carl Jung and the End of Humanity (2018), and A Book of Life (2021). His work has been translated into more than a dozen languages and has influenced both academic and spiritual circles. Kingsley has collaborated with various spiritual traditions and has been recognized for his innovative approach to interpreting ancient philosophy.
