Synopsis "El Valle del Terror (in Spanish)"

En realidad El valle del terror no es una novela sino dos engarzadas entre si. Las dos novelas que la componen La tragedia de Birlstone y Los chirrioneros ( pueden leerse por separado la una de la otra. Aunque el protagonista sea el mismo y los sucesos del primero sean consecuencia del segundo ambas poseen total independencia. En esto incurren dos factores. En primer lugar  la estructura del libro que esta dividido en dos partes de igual numero de capitulos y parecida extension ademas del imprescindible epilogo. En segundo lugar que ambas partes aunque en una aparece Holmes y en la otra no son excelentes.Tengo que mencionar que Los chirrioneros  podia figurar por si sola como una de las mejores ficciones detectivescas jamas escritas.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Edinburgh, 1859 - Crowborough, United Kingdom, 1930) considered the master of detective literature was a writer and doctor born in Scotland, mainly known for having created the very famous character Sherlock Holmes, the most well-known detective of all times, cyclically adapted for TV and cinema

He studied at the universities of Stonyhurst and Edinburgh, where he graduated in medicine. Between 1882 and 1890, he worked as a doctor in Southsea, England.

To supplement his meager income, he wrote a mystery novel titled A Study in Scarlet, which became the first of sixty-eight stories featuring one of the most famous detectives in literature: Sherlock Holmes.
