Ever since one of their ancestors kidnapped a young woman and caused her death, the Baskervilles are said to be cursed by an enormous supernatural hound that roams the moors around Baskerville Hall and preys on members of the family. The curse seems to be proven true when Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead near a large animal footprint on his estate. In this third novel featuring Detective Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Doctor Watson, the duo must solve the mystery of what really happened that night in order to keep the new heir to Baskerville Hall safe from danger. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Edinburgh, 1859 - Crowborough, United Kingdom, 1930) considered the master of detective literature was a writer and doctor born in Scotland, mainly known for having created the very famous character Sherlock Holmes, the most well-known detective of all times, cyclically adapted for TV and cinema

He studied at the universities of Stonyhurst and Edinburgh, where he graduated in medicine. Between 1882 and 1890, he worked as a doctor in Southsea, England.

To supplement his meager income, he wrote a mystery novel titled A Study in Scarlet, which became the first of sixty-eight stories featuring one of the most famous detectives in literature: Sherlock Holmes.

Illustrator and comic artist, he started at Madriz magazine in the 80s, and since then has combined his work in numerous magazines such as El País Semanal and newspapers like El Mundo or The Boston Globe with book illustration, for both children and adults. Among his most notable comics are Tales of the Legume Star, The Black Box, and The Chronicles of Ono and Hop. He has published The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Las Meninas, and La cólera with the scriptwriter Santiago García. La cólera has been awarded the Zona Cómic-CEGAL prize by the network of comic book specialty stores for the best national work of 2020, a category in which he also won the top award of 2020 from the Lorna awards, Aragonese comic, and the critics of Dolmen magazine. He has conducted several illustration workshops both in Spain and Latin America and is a tenured professor at the Tiny School of Illustration.
