Diese Arbeit wurde im Rahmen des Masterstudiengangs Kommunikationswissenschaften an der Universität von Minho, Fachbereich Information und Journalismus, im Jahr 2010 durchgeführt. Ihr Ziel ist es, die Berichterstattung auf den Websites von Expresso und Jornal de Notícias über die orthografische Vereinbarung der portugiesischen Sprache von 2008 bis zur ersten Hälfte des Jahres 2010 empirisch zu analysieren. Das orthografische Abkommen ist ein Vertrag, der zwischen den Mitgliedsländern der Gemeinschaft der portugiesischen Sprachländer (CPLP) unterzeichnet wurde, um die orthografischen Systeme dieser Länder zu vereinheitlichen.
