Johann Nestroy: Der Talisman. Posse mit Gesang in drei Aufzügen Entstanden 1840. Erstdruck: Wien 1843. Uraufführung am 16.12.1840 in Wien. Vollständige Neuausgabe mit einer Biographie des Autors. Herausgegeben von Karl-Maria Guth. Berlin 2015. Textgrundlage ist die Ausgabe: Johann Nestroy: Werke. Ausgewählt und mit einem Nachwort versehen von Oskar Maurus Fontana, München: Winkler, 1962. Die Paginierung obiger Ausgabe wird in dieser Neuausgabe als Marginalie zeilengenau mitgeführt. Umschlaggestaltung von Thomas Schultz-Overhage unter Verwendung des Bildes: Simon Warnberger, Die Amalienburg von Schloss Nymphenburg, 1810. Gesetzt aus Minion Pro, 11 pt. Über den Autor: 1801 in Wien als Sohn eines Advokaten geboren, tritt Johann Nepomuk Nestroy 1818 erstmals als Opernsänger auf. Es folgen zahlreiche Engagements auch in Sprechrollen in Wien, Amsterdam, Brünn und Graz bis er 1831 im Theater an der Wien als Bühnenautor unter Vertrag steht und ab 1854 das Carl-Theater leitet. Sein pointierter Witz, die scharfe Satire und der funkelnde Humor machen ihn gemeinsam mit Ferdinand Raimund zum gro en Vertreter der Altwiener Volkskomödie. Nestroy stirbt 1862 in Graz an einem Gehirnschlag, im Juni wird er unter gro er Anteilnahme der Bevölkerung in Wien beerdigt.
